Class overview: Second Grade Schedule- is: Math, Phonics, Snack/Bathroom break, Reading -pm: Bathroom Break, Story time, Spelling, Handwriting (cursive), Writing/Grammar, Special, Science/Social Studies

Specials: Monday-Gym, Tuesday-Media, Wednesday-French, Thursday-Art, Friday-Music

Assessment: There will be weekly tests in Math, Reading, Phonics, Spelling, Writing/Grammar, and Unit tests in Science and Social Studies. I will let you know in advance the dates of any test.

Homework: Students will be assigned homework Mondays-Thursdays.  There will be no assignments on weekends unless students have been absent and need to make up work. Homework will always be a review of things covered in class.  Students will have weekly spelling words and vocabulary words they will need to study. 

Student Responsibilities: Students are expected to write all assignments in their assignment pads. Students are expected to put all homework in their homework folders. Students need to practice vocabulary words and spelling words every night.  Students must come to class prepared (homework, assignment pad,). Students must follow directions, work cooperatively and be respectful of the teacher and classmates.

Parent Responsibilities: Listen to your child read.  Always check their assignment pad and Homework Hero for homework assignments and announcement.
